This moving setting of Quinn's text_x0014_ itself a meditation on the Word of God made flesh, specifically the sacrificial, redemptive aspects of Jesus's Incarnation_x0014_ speaks to us about the the love of God for us through his Crucifixion. Written for SATB choir, keyboard, guitar, and solo instrument I & II in C, each verse is scored slightly different allowing for the piece to build towards the end. It is appropriate for the season of Christmas and also for topics of Word of God and Communion.
