This joy-filled song by Carey Landry speaks of God’s love for us: He sings through us his song of love, faith, and hope. That is—akin to St. Theresa of Avila’s reflection that “Christ has no body now but yours”—we are God’s instruments on Earth. There are also themes of creation, Eucharist, justice, mercy, and social concern. While not a song meant only for musicians, it is an appropriate song to celebrate music ministry. The harmonic structure of the verses follows the meaning of the text giving each verse greater meaning. This will make for a great selection any time of the year.
